Can I drive my car without strut spring?

Rear strut spring on my old car is in Illinois. I want to get it back to Michigan to sell. Would I be OK driving 300 miles without one of the rear strut springs? It broke and I managed to get it off. What is the cost of having a new strut spring put on. 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix
