Is a typical honda with Headers intake and exhaust a race car?

I run into alot of people that seem to think a civic with tow hook, fart can exhaust, short ram intake and some aftermarket wheels along with some strut bars is a race car and vtec make sits even more so. Am i the only person thinking otherwise?
