What is the best buy for a sporty 4 cylinder sedan?

Used. Looking to spend $10,000-12,000. Can be a hatch also. I want a sporty car, but since it's a 4 cylinder, I'm not expecting to get a Porsche quality driving experience. Just something that will make driving enjoyable, while I save on fuel economy. Nothing too old either, within the last 5 years. I've looked into Mazda3, Honda Accord, Acura TSX, Subaru Legacy, and Nissan Altima. Feel free to offer other ideas. Or a V6 that gets good MPG.
