Am I the only one who thinks that beauty pageants like Miss USA are degrading?

Yes, I have always thought that they were dreadful, even when they don't have a bikini element (some just do dresses) and talk about what type of degrees they have - it still reduces women to just bodies! No wonder normal women have trouble being taken seriously when there are huge sections of the female population that act like they are in a slave market.
