Do most atheists strut around and flirt with disaster .... never really care~n~ just what comes after?

Because I don't believe as you do, does not make me less of a person. And, especially since I can't go to church and ask for forgiveness, I have to act in a responsible matter and take the consequences of my actions. A little girl down the street told me her mother wouldn't let her come around me since I declined their invitation to go to their church again and I'm sure they thought they were going to save my soul. I did go once...mostly for the social benefits...and the minister preached about how much better they were than the people that used to occupy the building. I found that to be presumptuous and condescending. And later a man got up and testified as to how he used to be a drug user and a drug seller and that how he found God and redeemed himself. I heard him say that God had forgiven him for what he had done but I didn't hear him say anything about making up for what he had done to the people around him and the community that he had harmed. My parents raised me to be a thoughtful and caring person and to behave responsibly because my actions reflected on who they were and all those ancestors that went before me. I never felt that I needed a God to make me a good person or the threat of heaven and hell. I think you will find that atheists run the gamut just like christians do. There are good and bad in all of us and we are pretty much like the people you sit next to in church. We just don't believe in your God. We are not less because of that and don't make crazy choices.
